Audo Copenhagen unveils six new fall table designs

Audo Copenhagen presented a new collection of home furnishings during the recent 3daysofdesign event in Copenhagen. The showcase, titled Quiet Grandeur, highlighted six new pieces designed to focus on the rituals of hospitality rather than pure spectacle. The exhibition was staged with the local firm Norm Architects and featured work from creative director Christian Møller Andersen. These designs celebrate natural materials and aim to create an atmosphere for gathering that feels both enduring and sensory.

One of the standout items is the Mauro Dining Chair, which draws inspiration from the founders’ memories of dining at Milan’s Trattoria Bolognese da Mauro. The chair translates that relaxed approach to Italian hospitality into a streamlined, stackable form. It balances clean Scandinavian lines with softer proportions to encourage guests to linger. The chair pairs with the Puffin Dining Table, Audo’s first collaboration with interior design firm Atelier Axo. This table blends the functional simplicity of Shaker furniture with the nostalgia of country kitchens. It was originally conceived for Bobe, a Copenhagen restaurant, and is available in round and rectangular variations. The oak table is engineered to age gracefully and bear witness to decades of communal meals.

Heritage Meets Japanese Influence

The collection also revisits the legacy of Danish modernism with the updated Penguin Wooden Lounge Chair by Ib Kofod-Larsen. Now available in natural or red-stained oak, the chair features a compact, sculptural scale that suits contemporary homes. Its visual lightness is characteristic of the work that made Kofod-Larsen a master of the mid-century era. On the other side of the spectrum, the Conrad Lounge Table by emerging designer Laura Lange introduces a Japanese inflection to the catalog. Its form-pressed oak veneer and raised solid wood edge serve as an integrated tray, creating a dialogue between sculptural softness and structural honesty. The visible screws make its straightforward assembly a deliberate aesthetic detail rather than something to conceal.

The Eave Seamline Lounge Chair by Norm Architects expands the wildly successful Eave sofa series into a standalone, cocooning silhouette. With inward-folding armrests and meticulous seam detailing, the chair offers an architectural yet corporeal retreat in both residential and hospitality settings.

Lights for the Table

In the area of seating, the Admiral Portable Lamp by Pernille Arlien-Søborg—a category widely explored at the moment—offers a warm, intimate 2700K glow through its linen shade without demanding more attention than that. It prioritizes the sensory experience and atmosphere of dining over the object itself.
