Seattle-based interior designer Heidi Caillier has released her second collaboration with rug and decor brand Joon Loloi, featuring 37 rugs and 27 pillows. The new line builds on the bold prints and layered textures of her first partnership with the company.

The collection, available today, moves away from the softer pinks and feminine tones of its 2025 predecessor. It now includes deeper shades like indigo, chocolate, and rose while keeping the Scandinavian-inspired florals and vintage motifs Caillier favors. The pieces are designed to be versatile, working across different design styles rather than confining themselves to one look.

From nostalgia to nature

Caillier’s designs often pull from unexpected sources—antique quilts, Indian block prints, and even non-textile patterns. This method stands out in rugs like the Stella and Forrest, where oversized blooms and geometric repetition create movement. The Forrest Hand-Tufted Wool Rug in Chocolate/Rose, for instance, uses scale to make floral motifs feel abstract.

“I learned a lot from our first collection and wanted to expand on it,” Caillier said. “We explored different constructions, bolder patterns, and colors that feel new.”

Her approach remains intuitive. The collection blends Southwestern pastels, plaids, and small florals without a single theme beyond lasting appeal. “I don’t aim to create a specific mood or tie it to a season,” she explained. “The rugs should fit into many spaces with different textiles and paint colors.”

Layering without rules

The line aligns with Caillier’s broader design philosophy, which values lived-in, eclectic spaces over strict stylistic rules. She encourages clients to mix colors, pattern scales, and old with new.

“I always return to nature and I think you can see that influence in this collection,” says Caillier. The Lilette Hand-Tufted Wool Rug in Beige demonstrates this balance, pairing organic shapes with a neutral palette to create visual impact.

When asked to describe the collection in three words, Caillier chose eclectic, timeless, striking. Those words also reflect her career, especially after designing Kendall Jenner’s mountain home last year.

The collection is available now through Joon Loloi’s website and select retailers.
