When you move in to a new property there are always features left by previous owners that aren’t quite to your taste. A few tweaks were all the fireplace needed to become a beautiful element in the room. Mary’s fireplace was quite dated as you can see from this before picture and didn’t tie in well with the beautiful wainscotting and furnishings in the room. I often use a similar or same type of stone on the fireplace that I do in a kitchen that is open to the main family room where the fireplace exists.
